A Map of the Scottish Public Management Field
In order to overcome the problems associated with the disjointed nature of the field referred to in the discussion paper Not Powerpoints and Pastries, we are in the process of developing a clear, joined up map of the field that highlights:
- who does what, where, how can they be contacted and/or their work easily accessed;
- important developments that affect the area;
- what events are taking place and what opportunities present themselves.
As a first step, we are compiling a database of individuals and organisations interested and/or working in the area of public management. If you would like to be included, please forward the following information to Isobel.Speedman@ed.ac.uk:
- Your Name
- Position
- Contact email
- 150 word summary of your work and interests
- up to 5 key words that describe your work
We hope to have a first version of the map available over the course of 2010.
The work forms part of the Economic and Social Research Council's Public Services Programme. It is co-sponsored by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and The Scottish Government (ESRC Reference RES-153-27-0015).
